2008 Reunion - Fun Times!!
Thank you to the Lyman Davies family for the wonderful reunion that they hosted! We all had a wonderful time. Here are some pictures of some of the activities that were enjoyed (if they look small on your computer, just click on the picture & it should come up full size on your computer).
Nothing can beat a good water gun fight, especially when not everyone had a water gun to defend themselves!...

Visiting with family is always nice...

Dressed for the 50's....

Dancing & singing in the pavillion was extra special with our cool glow in the dark braclets & necklaces...

Update on Jase
Hi i just thought that i would write and tell you the update on Jase. We went to the doctor on Friday and the first doctor said the same thing that it didnt look good and so he sent us up to the Moran Eye Center and they did and electrode test and he passed both of those. He passed a little lower than GREAT but he still passed. They said that this rules out that he is completely blind. The brain signals are getting from the brain to the eye. I was so excited i cried allday. They think that he could have Delayed Visual Maturation which would be the better of the two because this can eventuallay develop into normal eye sight, or it could be Cortical Vision Imparement and they describe this as seeing through swiss cheese, like they can only see parts of the whole picture. So i am VERY thankful that it will be one of these two things. He is such a cute little happy boy, he never cries and he is just starting to smile, sooo cute... I know that he can see me sometimes, almost like out of the corner of his eyes and then when he turns to focus on me he loses me. But I thank God everyday for this great news. Cole and I are very optomistic about, we decided that thats the only way that we can be about it. Croix loves him to death and loves to give him hugs and kisses. Thanks for all of your prayers, we need all that we can get.
Love Jessi, Cole, Croix, and Jase

Freda's 80th Birthday Party
Mom (Freda) had her 80th Birthday Party on May 3rd although she didn't hit the 80th mark until May 7th. We had lots of family and friends (about 115) join us for the celebration. Claudia's son, Todd traveled all the way fromCalifornia with his family to enjoy the festivities. We had a wonderful day of visiting and reminiscing. We had a big display of mom's quilts, scrapbooks, pictures and favorite things. Special old-fashioned games andeven a personalized Davies Monopoly Game gave the little ones a chance to play. Scrapbooking items were available for making special thank you or 'memories of grandma' cards. The kids had a great time cutting, drawing and gluing. We had a treasure hunt through mom's life with a treasure for those completing the game (Written testimony to her posterity and book marker with her picture) We discovered lots of fun tidbits about her life and character. What a fun day. What a special lady. We were also fortunate to have dad (John R) come for a couple hours to visitwith us.
